Erica Joseph receives national honor
Congratulations to Erica Joseph, APRN, who was recently selected as one of 10 nurses to receive the Culture of Health: Breakthrough Leaders in Nursing award, sponsored by the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action. This honor includes a leadership development scholarship from the Center for Creative Leadership, fully funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Joseph is a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She currently works for the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in the Mental Health Intensive Case Management Program.
Joseph is a doctoral student at Southern University Baton Rouge School of Nursing and was recently accepted into the American Nurses Association Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration Ethnic Minority Fellowship Program. She was honored as the 2015 Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse of the Year at LSNA Nightingale Awards In March 2015.
Joseph participated in the work of the Louisiana Action Coalition by serving as a scribe at the LAC Diversity Think Tank that took place in August 2015.
