Sonya L. Baye, RN, BSN

Baye currently serves as a quality specialist for University Health Shreveport. In this position, her focus is enhancing communication across the health care continuum to ensure better patient outcomes. To achieve this, she utilizes multidisciplinary approaches to involve senior leadership and create a holistic, patient-centered experience. Before working as a quality specialist, Baye worked as a women’s health nurse.

Amie B. Falgout, APRN, FNP-C

Falgout is owner of Divinity Home Health Services in Thibodaux, LA, which serves a growing census base of 150-170 patients. Divinity staffs RNs, home health nurses aids, physical occupational and speech therapists, and social workers. Health care professionals work with administrative staff to restore patients to wellness and independence at home.

 

Falgout completed undergraduate studies at Charity School of Nursing in 1994, and then earned her BSN and MSN from Loyola University New Orleans. She was accredited as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners on 2009. Her clinical experience includes obstetrics, gynecology, neonatal and pediatrics. As a nurse practitioner, she assisted in establishing a state-funded school based health center.

Kerrie Redmond, BSN, RNC-OB

Redmond currently serves as director of women’s service at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma, LA. In this position, she is responsible for the operational, fiscal and clinical managerial direction of the hospital’s labor and delivery, maternal newborn, Level III NICU, women’s and children’s units. Her nursing experience includes supervisory and staff positions in various areas of the hospital.

 

Redmond earned her BSN from LSU Medical Center- School of Nursing New Orleans and is currently enrolled in the DNP program at Loyola University New Orleans.

Jennifer Wright, DNP, FNP-BC

Wright currently serves as director of advanced practice at the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. In this role, she provides services addressing credentialing and practice issues as well as consultation regarding education, practice, disciplinary actions and investigations of complaints directly involving APRNs. Previous to her position at LSBN, Wright worked in primary and urgent care settings in Louisiana, California and New Mexico.

 

Wright received her BSN in 1991 and her MSN from Northwestern State University Shreveport in 1996. She completed the DNP program at Loyola University New Orleans in 2016.
